To kill your brother.
You don’t need a knife,
To cut out his heart.
Words of lies and hate,
Will do it for you.

You don’t need a pill,
To see the sunshine.
You don’t need a fix,
To witness light.
Words of love and truth,
Will do it for you,
And they leave no scars,

I’ve made so many mistakes,
I’ve wallowed deep in confusion.
But now I see what it takes
To shed this illusion.

You don’t need the stars,
To see the future.
You don’t need a sign,
To witness life.
Faith in Jesus Christ,
Will do it for you.
And He heals all scars
