On a dark and cloud-less night, as she gives birth, a star shines bright
On a baby boy, so far from His home.
Who is this baby boy? Some young mother’s first born joy.
And the tears He cries are shed for us all.
This is Jesus, God on Loan; on a manger, not a throne
And someday will be the One to save us all...
Hard to think that these small hands are God’s reaching out to man
Everywhere in this troubled world.
And on a hillside marked for death, this baby boy will fight for breath
as blood He spills, pours out for us all...
“Christmas is coming” we hear every year.
Time for the carols to start
But Christmas will come every day of your life
When Jesus lives in your heart.
Who is this new born child? He’s the one to reconcile
Everyone who longs to come home.
This is Jesus, God on Loan; on a manger, not a throne
And someday will be the One to save us all...
Yes He’s come to be the One to save us all.
